Original Summary

👉 So I'm sharing our story behind the biggest pivot our tech agency has made in 10 years. Maybe the one that saves it. Or at least the one that gets us to 1M ARR. Goal: 50 clients in 6 months. Ok so quick story, still processing it. Back from summer break. Tuesday Sept 15, one of our clients hits us with: "Honestly, what's your value? Why can't I just do this with Claude?" Ouch. But fair. We're a small French dev studio (figue.ai). 10 years building products, 50+ shipped. Our engineers use AI all day already. But we were still selling like it's 2015: scope, quote, wait, chase, negotiate. Next 7 days: 4 quotes. 0 signed. Ok. Message received. Design already went through this years ago. Productized subscriptions, one monthly fee, unlimited requests, one at a time. So we thought: why not dev? With AI, a small team can actually keep up now. Thursday 17th we pulled the trigger: flat monthly fee no quotes, no scoping calls unlimited requests, one active at a time (a "slot") want to go faster? add a slot. quiet month? drop one AI does the heavy lifting, our engineers scope, test, validate Then: Fri 18: slot #1 sold Wed 23: slot #2 today: slot #3 Official launch is Oct 1. We haven't even launched lol. 3 down, 47 to go. So now I'm genuinely asking myself: Is this just launch hype? New offer, founder pricing, a bit of FOMO, and it fizzles out in 3 months? Or is this where every tech agency is heading? No more quotes, just capacity you subscribe to. Curious what you think. Especially if you run an agency or you've bought from one lately. submitted by /u/wawa_masked [link] [comments]
