Hi everyone, I always missed CrystalDiskInfo when switching to Mac, so I built Aman Disk : a native macOS app that shows the S.M.A.R.T. health, temperature and performance of your internal drives( for now ), in plain language. What it does: Clear health status (Healthy / Needs attention / Likely failing) and remaining life when the drive reports it Every S.M.A.R.T. attribute explained, with real units Temperature history (up to 30 days) and a menu bar view Built-in performance test (sequential and random read/write) PDF / text / JSON reports, with the serial number masked by default Works on NVMe and SATA/AHCI internal drives, Apple Silicon and Intel, macOS 14+ Privacy: no network connection at all. No telemetry, no analytics, no update check. Everything stays on your Mac. Installation: the app isn't signed with a paid Apple Developer ID (99 $ , ouch) , so macOS will block it on first launch. You just need to allow it once in System Settings › Privacy & Security › Open Anyway . All the steps are in the README (and in the DMG). What's next: version 1.0 will add external USB drives (SSDs and HDDs in USB enclosures). If you have an enclosure, telling me its model in an issue really helps me decide which ones to support first.
