For the last couple of months I've been working on a small open-sourced project called Fugleramme (literally "bird frame" in Norwegian). It’s basically a DIY picture frame that listens to the birds in my garden and uses machine learning to identify, then draw them as real natural-history illustrations on an e-ink display. Running fully locally on hardware you can buy online and assemble at home. If someone would've told me 2 weeks back what were to happened this month I'd call them insane: My "Show HN" post is the #1 story on Hacker News for the month (currently at 2,388 points) 3.3k GitHub stars and 13 contributors (continuously growing) People sending ideas, feedback and photos of their own builds.
