Original Summary

I started studying ML over COVID to pass the time, that evolved into building out an on device NLP stack to read journal entries and make a database about my life that I could analyze to hopefully find what was causing some chronic health issues (sleep paralysis a few times a month, and sinus infections 5+ times a year, both solved now). Originally it took 12+ minutes to categorize a full journal entry on around 4GB of VRAM, but after tinkering with it in my free time I've gotten it down to <180ms on 200mb of iPhone ram, essentially real time. it's now 100% on-device, works in airplane mode, some users are actually using old iphones with no wifi or data as a personal journal device. I spent about six months this year learning swift (with claude) and built out an app that utilizes the stack - tinh.io - and I'm very proud of the progress. It still works as a daily journal, but now you can also record sentences, paragraphs, notes, through out the day, and they are instantly categorized and displayed to be confirmed. If you are reading this and want the app for free, message me and I'll give you a lifetime unlock code. The corrections system remembers all corrections, without ever having to retrain a neural net, so after a week or so it learns your vocabulary and it's essentially fire and forget. Once a day, or on a schedule you define, you log your "metrics", which are, label agnostic, outcomes you want to get more information on, think knee pain, morning energy, toe nail growth, literally anything you can measure consistently day over day, then tinh will cross reference those values against your lifestyle data and present patterns and correlations. "is my new medication actually having an effect on my symptoms three weeks later?" "why am I so sleepy after lunch sometimes, but not always" In v1.2 I've built out a suite of cognition tests, puzzles, and games, with the idea that the app will log your performance, account for time of day and learning curve, then see if any of your lifestyle data has an effect on cognition. This is very much an experiment and I would love to get your feedback on this. No subscription, one time fee and you have it for life, after your two week free trial ends.
