Original Summary
Have you ever run into this problem? You’re building something with AI that you genuinely find useful, and you’re convinced there are people who would benefit from it too. But then you realize that a big part of your potential audience is very skeptical of AI. Which makes marketing the product… interesting 😅 I know I don’t necessarily have to lead with the fact that the tool is AI-powered. And I used to think most people cared more about the outcome than the technology behind it. But after talking to people on Reddit, I’m realizing that’s definitely not true for everyone. I’ve had people dismiss what I’m building as “AI slop” without even seeing the product or having a link to it. And if someone’s starting point is basically “I don’t want anything to do with AI,” even explaining the benefits doesn’t seem to get you very far. So I’m curious: Have you ever tried selling an AI-powered product to an audience that was actively skeptical or anti-AI? How did you approach it? Did you try to change their perception of AI, barely mention the AI part and focus on the outcome, or take a completely different approach? I know my product works, so maybe I just have to trust the product and let organic discovery build over the coming weeks/months. Would be really interested to hear from people who’ve actually dealt with this. submitted by /u/Majestic_Carpet9109 [link] [comments]
