I built a free stock analysis app. It has only 13 downloads and costs me ~$300/month to keep running. Is it worth continuing? I recently launched StockPulse , an iOS app I built because I wanted most of the tools I use for researching stocks in one place. It has: AI-powered stock analysis Stock screener Portfolio tracking Watchlists Price alerts Financial statements and key metrics Stock-specific news Interactive charts Real-time/near real-time market data The app is completely free right now. No subscription or paywall or ads! The problem is that I only have 13 downloads so far, while the APIs, market data and infrastructure are costing me roughly $300/month. I’m trying to figure out whether the problem is the product, marketing, positioning, or simply that I’m building something people don’t actually need. I’m obviously biased because I built it, so I’d really appreciate any criticism.. Would you actually use something like this? What would make you delete it after trying it? Is there anything here worth paying for? And if you think I’m wasting $300/month keeping it alive, tell me that too. Not really looking for downloads as much as honest feedback on whether this is worth continuing to build.
