A couple of years ago, when GPT-3.5 was still pretty new, I built a little side project called redy. The idea was simple: upload your resume PDF, have AI extract your experience, and turn it into a personal website. I launched a small invite-only alpha, and around 200 people ended up signing up and trying it. Then I abandoned it. Work got busy, life happened. A few months ago I picked it back up and decided to rebuild it properly. It has since grown a bit from the original resume -> website idea. You can now create personal websites/portfolios, link-in-bio pages, blogs, connect custom domains, and get things like SEO/OpenGraph support out of the box. Here's the current version: https://redy.page I've also been using it for my own personal website. I'm not really trying to turn this into a startup right now, and it's completely free. I mostly built it because I wanted a fun project outside my day job and an excuse to keep learning by building something real. What I'm actually trying to figure out is whether this is useful to anyone beyond me. If you already have a personal website: Would something like this actually save you time? What would make you consider using it instead of what you have now? If you don't have one: What's stopped you from making one? Does this solve that problem at all? And after looking at it, what feels unnecessary, confusing, or missing? I'd genuinely prefer "this is solving a problem nobody has" over generic positive feedback.
