Hi HN, I&#x27;m Anshul. Diurnal is a Mac to-do app I&#x27;ve been working on.<p>Many to-do apps have a quick-add shortcut: a text field that appears when you trigger it, into which you can type a task. But the task box only knows about the task you&#x27;re typing - to pick a time, you have to go to another app to check your calendar.<p>But when you hit ⇧⌘A anywhere, Diurnal overlays your current app with your day — your tasks, Google Calendar meetings and a timeline. You can see that 3-4pm is busy, so you type &quot;call John 4pm&quot; and hit return. The task gets filed under 4pm, and you&#x27;re back in the app you were in. If you start the line with &#x2F;cal , it&#x27;s a Google Calendar event.<p>Other features:<p>- ⇧⌘L adds tasks by voice: what you say gets split into tasks. I can say three things and get three tasks.<p>- Reminders, daily and weekly planning, and a pomodoro timer come in the menu bar.<p>- Offline, sync across your Macs (you need to sign in to a Diurnal account to sync, but nothing in the app is private)<p>- The whole thing is free, and you can try it in your browser at diurnal.in without installing anything (it&#x27;s a desktop app only, though).<p>Am constantly building and improving the app and will love your feedback if you have tried it :)
