Original Summary
Hey r/SideProject , long-time lurker. I finally shipped something: Kanso , a calorie and macro tracker where the main input is just a photo of your food. The pitch is simple — food logging fails because it's tedious, so I tried to make the laziest possible version of it. Take a picture of your plate → AI estimates calories, protein, carbs, fat. Barcode scan and manual search are there too for when you want to be precise. Around that it has the usual full suite: food diary, weight + fasting tracking, strength/cardio logging, hydration, recipes, supplements, trends/insights, and achievements. It's free, no ads. Solo indie dev (I'm Ram, this is an Enso Labs thing). Honestly the photo accuracy is the part I go back and forth on — it's good enough to keep you consistent, which is the whole bet, but I'd love to hear what this crowd thinks. iOS: https://apps.apple.com/app/id6767579239 Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.ramicode.kanso Happy to answer anything about the build — the AI estimation pipeline, the Capacitor setup (it's a hosted web app in a native shell, which made shipping fast), whatever. submitted by /u/Working-Broccoli-101 [link] [comments]
