I kept wanting a focus timer that felt calm and didn’t need an account or sync. So I built Tempura — a desktop app (Linux / Windows / macOS) where the countdown lives in Rust, the UI is quiet, and everything stays local (SQLite, system tray, no telemetry). What it does Classic / Sprint / Deep / 52-17 / Ultradian / Flowtime / Hybrid, plus custom techniques Start / pause / skip / reset; tray tooltip stays live even if the window is hidden Themes, optional sounds/notifications, basic local stats (today / streak) What it deliberately doesn’t do No accounts, no cloud, no sync, no analytics in the binary Downloads + source: https://vcostin.github.io/tempura/ Repo: https://github.com/vcostin/tempura (MIT) Built with Tauri 2 + React/TS + Deno. If you’ve tried it (or something like it): what would
