Ok so this started as a joke purchase. One of those little metal slider fidgets on Temu, the bar that snaps between two magnets. Three bucks. I've carried it every day since and the coating is worn through on one corner now. At some point I'm sitting there clacking it and I look at my phone and think, this thing has a real haptic engine in it, why isn't anyone using it for this. So I downloaded a bunch of fidget apps and they're all the same: a picture of a fidget, and a buzz when you tap. Same buzz if you move slow, same buzz if you flick it. Your hand figures that out in ten seconds. So I built the actual mechanism instead.
