I’ve been working on Promptix on and off for a while, and recently rebuilt a big part of it around a simpler idea. Buttons and forms are still a pretty good interface. What changed is what can happen behind them. Instead of writing fixed logic for every small tool, some tasks can now just be a prompt + a few inputs. So in Promptix you can create a prompt, add fields to it, and turn it into a normal macOS app. It shows up in Applications, Spotlight or the Dock, and you just open it, fill in the inputs and run it. You can also use prompts directly on selected text in any app with a shortcut. There are built-in actions for things like translation, rewriting, grammar and summarization, and you can use your own API keys or local models.
