I used to default to the same advice everyone gives, submit to as many launch sites as you can. After watching a lot of founders burn a week pasting the same thin blurb into 20+ forms, I changed my mind. "Where should I launch?" is the wrong question. The useful question is which discovery model you are buying with your time. There are basically three. 1) Launch-day platforms (Product Hunt style) Concentrated attention in a short window. Worth it if the product can handle public scrutiny and you already have people ready to show up inside that community's rules. Weak fit if the product is still rough, or you cannot support the spike for a day. 2) Persistent directories A page that stays useful after the announcement dies down. Stable URL, categories, something a buyer or peer
