Original Summary
Staying visible keeps sliding behind client work, and it is not because I do not know who I want to reach. That part I've come to terms with. I posted here last week asking what still feels hardest once you already know, and what came back was not three different answers. It was one answer, from almost everyone, and it is not the answer I was expecting. About 10 people replied with something substantive. 6 of them, in different words, said the same thing. It is not a writing problem. By the time I sit down to do marketing, the specific thing that happened on "Tuesday" is gone, so I reach for the generic version and so does the AI. There was nothing relevant and timely in the pipeline to draw from. One person put it as plainly as I have seen it: the hardest part is not posting, it is capture. The fixes all pointed the same way. A two minute note at the end of each day, one line, what happened and who said what. A weekly batch, pulling the useful points out of client work in one sitting so the daily pressure goes away. A tiny running list of customer phrases and objections that gets turned into a post at a set time. And then a rule on whatever drafts the text: nothing ships unless it carries one thing from this week's actual work, with a number in it. The drafts that rule rejected were exactly the ones that sounded fine but the failures were invisible to the person reading it because no real data was integrated. Where they did not agree was where to put the fix, not what the fix is. Some said the daily log, some said ignore the daily pressure and batch it, one said the real instrument is the CRM and that looking at the last touch before writing anything is the whole thing, and another said skip the log and read the places your people ask questions every morning so the post comes out of a question somebody already asked. I do not think those are competing explanations. They are the same one with different plumbing. 2 replies went somewhere else. Another commenter stated the bottleneck is judgment rather than capture (valid point-taste matters), because deciding which thing I did this week is a real pattern and which was a one off is a call a model cannot make for me, and that AI actively hurts on follow-ups because it smooths away the exact detail that made the message land in the first place. The other said the reason any of this slides is that nobody is waiting on it. Client work has a person on the other end who notices if I do not deliver. A post has nobody. So in any week where the two compete, the one with a human attached wins, and that is not a failure of discipline, it is correct prioritization. Somebody else said the same thing, they now write the one thing they learned from a project right before they hit send. The reply about nobody waiting on it is the closest thing to a disagreement anyone offered, and that person still said they were doing the same thing, just by hand instead of with a script. Which is the part I kee
