We're a small team of 2–3 people and we've been developing a dictionary app for around 14 years. For most of that time, dictionaries were pretty straightforward: search a word, get the definition, pronunciation, examples, etc. Then AI happened. Honestly, we thought this might be the beginning of the end for dictionary apps. Why would someone open a dictionary when they can just ask ChatGPT or Gemini? Instead of giving up, we've been trying to adapt the project. We're now adding AI-powered explanations, synonyms, grammar help, examples and other features.
