I often have stock ideas that I’m interested in, but don’t necessarily want to put real money into yet. For example, I might think: “What if I put $10,000 into these 8–10 stocks today?” I wanted an easy way to create that alternative portfolio, enter how many shares I would buy and at what price, and then come back weeks or months later to see how that portfolio actually performed.
