Original Summary

Everyone job hunting eventually builds a spreadsheet: one row per application, columns for status, date, who called. It works until about row thirty, and then it quietly stops getting updated. That's where mine died. So I built the spreadsheet properly. What it does Searches the whole of Platsbanken (Sweden's national job board) live through the government's open JobTech API. There's no local copy of the ads, so nothing goes stale. Saved jobs are grouped by how urgent they are rather than when you saved them: expired, today–tomorrow, this week, later this month, further out, no deadline, on ice. Applications are ordered by what needs attention. Anything that's been silent too long floats to the top, because that's where opportunities actually get dropped. The monthly report. Job seekers on benefits in Sweden have to report their activity to the employment agency every month. The app assembles that list from what you've already entered, in the same order the official form asks for it. Copy the rows or download a CSV. It doesn't submit anything for you — you still file it yourself. CV matching that explains itself. Rule-based, not an LLM. You see which requirements it found in the ad, which ones you cover, and which you're missing. If an ad is too thin to judge fairly it shows no number at all, because a made-up percentage is worse than none. A few decisions I'd defend No account needed to search, and you can save up to 50 ads without one — they live in localStorage and get imported if you sign up later. No third-party cookies, no data selling, self-hosted analytics only. Free with no trial that runs out; it costs me almost nothing to run and I'd rather it get used than monetised. Stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind, Drizzle + Postgres, better-auth, Vercel. Monorepo, with the JobTech client and the CV-matching logic as their own packages. What's next: mostly fixing whatever people tell me is broken. The last two things I shipped both came from comments — a search bar where comma-separated terms didn't turn into removable filters, and the applications list being genuinely unusable on a phone.
