Hey everyone, I've been building my projects and using AI (Claude/ChatGPT) to code basically everything. The crazy part is that it actually works. The AI spits out the structure, creates the files, I run it, and the app is right there, running smoothly. The problem is I've created a Frankenstein I don't understand. If someone asks me what file X does, or how folder Y connects to the database, I just freeze. I have absolutely no idea what's going on under the hood. I even try to be a "good dev" and ask the AI to explain the code it just generated. But then it hits me with a massive wall of text, full of theory, architecture concepts, and jargon I don't know. My brain gets fried, I get lazy, give up reading, and just move on because "shipping the product is all that matters." My honest question is: is this a real problem for someone focused on being an indie hacker/solo founder? Or is it completely fine, and the modern way is to just let AI do the heavy lifting while you focus 100% on the business and sales side? For those in the same boat, my questions are: What do you actually focus on learning on the tech side? (Just enough to read syntax, only databases, etc.?)
