I've been experimenting with AI-assisted development, and something bothers me. An agent might spend an hour exploring a problem, trying different approaches, discovering edge cases, and finally implementing a solution. The final code might be perfectly fine. But what happens to everything that didn't make it into the final code? The failed approaches, constraints, assumptions, and reasons for choosing one solution over another can get buried in a long conversation. If I return to the project later, I might have to reconstruct that context all over again. I'm curious: - How do you preserve useful context between coding sessions? - Do you save agent conversations, maintain project notes, or just start fresh? - Would you want an agent to automatically save important decisions and discoveries somewhere outside the conversation?
