I previously shared our live AI virtual try-on for retail here. We’re building iKawn Mirror for fashion, wigs and accessories, and we’re now working with our first wig client. This update shows five hair looks. The top half is the AI output; the bottom is the original camera feed. It’s a recording of live try-on, played at 1.5× speed. Our demos have collectively reached 700k+ views on Reddit. That’s encouraging, but working with a client is giving us much more specific problems to solve. Hair density is a good example. A result can look convincing at first glance but still have too much volume for the intended wig. Hairlines, colour accuracy and preserving the customer’s face during movement matter too. The SaaS challenge is figuring out when the preview is reliable enough to become part of a retailer’s sales process. There’s also an ongoing compute cost for every minute of use, so engagement alone isn’t enough to judge success.
