Original Summary
I know it's been a while since these events happened but as an engineer making more transitions into the business and finance side, I'm starting to question more about past events around these tech startups. I'm an EV engineer and I just watched the Netflix series on Theranos and I can't help to question whether these investors who dump millions into these tech startups that are clearly fraudulent stupid or what? Like seriously, you could've just hired an engineer from the bottom of the class to know these companies produced bullshit, yet their valuation bubbles up to sky high billions of dollars. Or are these investors just taking advantage of fooling the public to pump and dump? Can you make a killing if you short these stocks massively if you had known? Why didn't anyone do that? submitted by /u/gtd_rad [link] [comments]
