Original Summary
Hi all, folks, I see that every other startup now does launch videos. And some might say once shouldn't do it, but I think there is a lot of sense in it. To some extent launches are your old-school demo-days in scrum. Remember those? For a solo or a small team company this is useful for many reasons. This pushes the team towards a goal: a public launch For solos/indies its literally a commitment to themselves and an audience Its free marketing in one go: you do both demo of the product and market it to others Its a way to get product faster to lots of people and get feedback It is so good that some startups just re-oriented themselves around launches. Now the bittersweet thing. 1. The launch itself is costly thing in time and budget: you need video production etc, and a different skillset 2. I personally hate being on camera, and can't overcome this fear. Am I alone in this? 3. And in general i don't even have this mucle. So the question is? Is there a way, a work around to build these launches, how to trick yourself to do it? To fight fear of camera? To cut costs and time of the launches? submitted by /u/Evening_Hawk_7470 [link] [comments]
