Original Summary

Freelancers Union data shows 71% of freelancers struggle to collect payment, averaging ~$6,000/year lost. Then I looked at existing tools (InvoiceSherpa, Chaser, Paidnice) and noticed all of them require QuickBooks or Xero as the source of truth, which felt like a gap for anyone who just invoices through Stripe or a PDF. So I built Nudge to fill that specific gap: connect a read-only Stripe key or drop in a CSV, set an escalating reminder sequence, and it follows up automatically — stopping the instant an invoice is marked paid. Every email goes out under your own name, not a generic "collections" address. Stack: Next.js + Supabase + Drizzle + Resend + Stripe, free tiers end to end except the domain. The hardest part was making the reminder engine provably safe — it can never double-send or send after payment, backed by a real test suite. Live at [ https://invoicenudge.xyz/\ ], free for up to 3 clients. Genuinely want feedback from anyone who's actually dealt with this — does the research match your real experience, or did I miss something obvious? submitted by /u/Chun16 [link] [comments]
