Launched my app a little under 3 weeks ago. 55 downloads so far and one person actually paid for it, which honestly still feels unreal. The funny part is i have no idea who they are. Apple tells me they're in the netherlands and that's it. I can't email them, can't see if they even like it, nothing. And that's completely on purpose. What i wanted was an AI that actually remembers me. My people, what i'm working on, what i said last month. But the more it knows about you, the less that stuff should be sitting on some company's server. So i made the whole thing run on the iphone itself. No account, no analytics, nothing comes back to me. Which is great for privacy and terrible for knowing if anyone likes it lol What it does right now: remembers what you tell it, and you can read, fix or delete any of it reminders and calendar stuff from one sentence notes, habits, money tracking, goals you can feed it your own docs so it gets to know you faster make your own assistants with their own personality Being honest though: an AI small enough to run on a phone is not chatgpt. it gets stuff wrong sometimes. that's the tradeoff and i'd rather just say it. The best part so far wasn't even the sale. someone left a really long comment on one of my posts asking if it could help them see how they handle things, like from the outside. that one comment kind of changed what i'm building next: getting it to notice patterns on its own, like how things usually go between you and one specific person over a few months. It's 7 days free then you pay once, no subscription. felt weird to charge people rent on their own memories. It's called avatar.gift on the app store, link in the comments if anyone wants it. i also made r/AvatarGift since it's literally the only way i can hear from the people using it.
