Original Summary
Not sure if anyone else got this, but after graduating I cannot concentrate the way I used to, so I built this website called PaxRoom . Basically the idea is that you can layer your music with rain/white noise, and track how long you actually sat there. There are probably similar websites out there already. I tried to keep it lightweight. Then I realised I liked seeing where the time went, so I added a to-do list and a session report. You can label each session, and the report shows how long you focused and on what. Totally optional tho. It’s a free tool, so if you have the same struggle, feel free to use it. Everything is stored locally, so I don’t get your data. No login unless you want Spotify so you can play your own music. Otherwise there are some default tracks you could listen to. Spotify isn’t open to everyone yet . I will need to get their approval. I can use it myself tho... If enough people want it, I’ll push that through. Note it’s built for a laptop or desktop. The layout is cramped on a phone, so I wouldn’t use it there. Anyway, I hope this helps. Tell me what you think. One last thing: I also added some “kind words” prompts because focusing can feel a bit raw sometimes. I hope this can cheer you up if you've been feeling down lately. You can turn it off if it gets in the way. Site: https://paxroom.com submitted by /u/Revolutionary_Can46 [link] [comments]
