I built SocialCrawl for developers who need live public social data without maintaining separate integrations for Reddit, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and every other platform they add. This month I’ve been interviewing my users and 5/10 of them were using SocialCrawl for their projects as indie devs so I thought builders in this subreddit would find this useful too. Interestingly, they used 5.07 platforms and 19.7 endpoints on average. I won’t disclose any unpublished projects, but among the ones already live, one recurring theme I see is social media research tools.
