I built an app for splitting expenses between groups of people and wanted to share it here. The problem I wanted to solve: in a group, not everyone has the same app installed, some people don't want to create an account just for occasional use, and keeping track of shared expenses can get complicated. The app is called Quota . You share a group link, everyone selects their name, and you can start adding expenses right away. No installation or account required. Main features No installation: it's a link that opens directly in your browser. You can optionally add it to your phone's home screen, but it's not required. Group links are private only people with the link can access the group. No mandatory sign up: everyone simply selects their name within the group, without needing an email or password. You can optionally protect your name with an account and biometric authentication (fingerprint or Face ID). Real time updates: expenses and balances are automatically updated for everyone in the group. Yearly summary: at the end of the year, Quota generates a summary of the group who contributed the most, the largest expense, and other stats presented as an animation instead of a table. Passkeys for registration: just a username and biometric authentication, with no password or external authentication service required. It can also be used as a PWA on iOS and Android , with notifications working on both platforms. It's free to use . It's still in testing, so there may be some bugs or changes over the next few days.
