Original Summary
I want to share this side project that I worked on for the past few months, it's called Meerkat Shell. It was at first a gateway for me to learn Elixir, I wrote some code in the beginning to build the daemon, but then I started to have my notes overflowed with ideas so I let claude join in, we added a golang based client and then turned into a Wails based desktop app. The terminal doesn't live in your window but lives in the daemon of the app, that's the idea. You can also access the jobs you ran (web server, python script, ...etc) , worktrees, ports assigned and source control panel. So the point of this post was to ask you guys to have a look on it, hopefully try the app, and provide me with some feedback in order to make it a solid app. It's really tough to make sure everything works fine especially while you're vibecoding. I would love to hear your thoughts on how to also maintain a vibecoded project in general. It works on MacOS only for the moment and here is the landing page link: meerkat.fayez-zouari.tn Also here is the Github repository link (Would definitely appreciate a star ^^): meerkat-shell submitted by /u/Sad-Substance525 [link] [comments]
