Original Summary

I listen to music a lot, but I always wished it felt less like a random shuffle and more like a real radio station. So I built VoidFM, an Android app that inserts AI-generated DJ talk into whatever you're already playing. It listens to your music player via Android's notification API, and between tracks it generates a short bit of DJ talk and plays it through TTS before the next song starts. There are two ways to run the talk generation: Remote — a small host app runs on your PC (any LLM + Chatterbox TTS), and the phone talks to it over the network On-Device — everything runs on the phone itself (Gemma 4 E2B + Supertonic 3), no PC needed, English only for now It's very much a side project — there are bugs and glitches, and I've only tested it on my own setup (Pixel 9 + RTX 3060 for the PC host). But it's at a point where it's fun enough that I wanted to share it. GitHub: https://github.com/CoB12426/voidfm Who is interested in this project ? Would love feedback. submitted by /u/Goapmis [link] [comments]
