Hey everyone, Been struggling with something that I imagine a lot of people building in public have run into: I usually have plenty of things I could post about, but almost none of them happen when I’m actually sitting in front of a blank page. Most of my better thoughts show up while I’m walking, commuting, right after a meeting, or in the middle of working on something. I’d tell myself I’d turn them into a post later, but later usually meant reopening the idea from scratch, figuring out what I meant, cleaning it up, rewriting it, and sometimes translating it before I could post it. I was spending way too much effort turning things I had already thought through into “content.” So, mostly out of frustration, we started building Memova around a simpler idea: capture the thought when it actually happens. The workflow we’ve been testing is pretty straightforward. You say the thought out loud, even if it’s messy, incomplete, or you change your mind halfway through. Memova turns that into a draft and helps you refine it into something you can actually share on X or LinkedIn. Getting this right has been harder than I expected. A clean transcription isn’t enough. If the output loses the way you actually think or suddenly starts sounding like generic AI writing, then the whole thing kind of defeats the purpose. That’s probably the part we’re spending the most time on right now: using AI to remove the friction without removing the person behind the thought. It’s still very much a work in progress. I’ve been testing it a lot while walking lately, basically recording whatever comes to mind instead of telling myself “I’ll write this later.” Curious if anyone else here has the same problem.
