I'm curious about this because getting the first few customers seems like one of those things that everyone makes sound easier than it actually is. You hear stuff like “just talk to customers” or “do outreach” and obviously that's true, but there's a lot more that happens between finding someone who might need your product and actually getting them to trust you enough to pay. I'm working on the client acquisition side of a small agency, and one thing I've noticed is that people don't necessarily buy because they have a problem. They buy when the problem is important enough to do something about now . That's been a pretty big lesson for me.
