Original Summary
There are two of us. We both have day jobs. We have been building this at night for 6 months, releasing out of private preview now. Three weeks ago Instinct raised $250M at a $2.5 billion valuation for a personal AI agent. Nine days ago Meta shipped Muse. Free, inside WhatsApp, a dedicated cloud machine for every user on earth. I read the launch post standing in my kitchen and felt a knot of dread in my stomach. After a couple days of marinating, I called our customers and asked the question straight: Meta's is free, are you switching? Nobody was. And the reason was not features. Every one of them said some version of the same thing, which is that they cannot put their clients' inboxes inside a company whose entire business is knowing things about people. That is the part I had been too close to see, and I think it is the actual story of this whole category: These agents only work because you give them total access. Email, calendar, messages, payment methods. That is the mechanism, not a side effect. An agent that cannot read your inbox cannot answer your inbox. Capability is converging fast and will keep converging. What does not converge is who is holding all of it and what their business model does with what they learn. If you are evaluating any of these, the questions worth asking are: do you get isolated infrastructure or a shared pool, what do the terms of service actually say about your data, and did they complete Google's verification for restricted Gmail scopes or route around it with app passwords. Ask all three in writing. The answers vary more than you would think. Ours is called Dela . It is an AI chief of staff you talk to by holding a hotkey. It's like a WisprFlow that acts. It drafts the reply, moves the meeting, writes the proposal in your voice, runs jobs while you sleep, and stages every action for approval. Anyone can use it, including for easy stuff like ordering dinner or booking a flight, but the money and the focus are on teams and enterprise. E.g. Sending the invoice after the service appointment and chasing it until it gets paid. Running Google Ads campaigns. The honest part: I do not know if this works. Free and everywhere beats small and careful most of the time and I think about that at 2am. My bet is that the people with the most to lose will be the last ones to hand their inbox to an ad company, and that is a real business even if it is never a billion users. The question I actually want answered, and I will read every reply: Am I wrong about this? Genuinely asking: would you connect Meta's agent to your work email? (This post is my thoughts and edits, full disclosure I did use AI to organize them) submitted by /u/Ok-Interview7757 [link] [comments]
