Vexoris asks one news question every morning. You answer, then you get to see what your friends said. That's the whole app. Six days in, the honest scoreboard: 22 users, and a real chunk of those are me, my QA account, and whoever at Apple reviewed it. 1 rating, five stars, and I'm not going to look too hard into where that came from. 5 updates in 6 days, which sounds like rapid iteration and is actually just me finding things. Best one so far: the ping button takes about 3.9 seconds. I only found that out today, because my own latency analytics had been cheerfully reporting 0 milliseconds for 90 days. Turned out I was timing two lines of the same function, so it measured nothing and told me everything was instant. Genuinely my favourite bug of the launch. Apple also rejected the first build with a seven-question form, then rejected it again because the signup screen required a City field. I still don't know why I was asking anyone for their city. Two things I'd actually like people to tell me: The app itself. Is "one question a day, and you have to answer before you can see anyone else's answer" enough of a hook, or does it need more? I genuinely can't tell anymore. Tear into it. The question. It's anchored to a real story each morning but deliberately zoomed out, so someone who doesn't follow the news can still answer. Which means it reads generic. I read Bloomberg every morning and the app's question is never about the thing I just read.
