All these vibecoders, who have never cut their teeth on actually learning the technologies, frameworks, standards, and practices that go into building good, high quality products businesses want, are going to be the reason freelance digital services go to the wayside. No GOOD business wants something they cannot trust. Talk to any non-startup company, that has been established 20+ years, and you will not see a single one of them hiring vibecoders, or using products made by vibecoders. Why? The vibecoders do not even know what the fuck they have "built". They SEE that it is doing what LOOKS like the right thing, but they have no way to validate any of it besides once more prompting Claude/Codex/xAi/Other LLM to check for them. Forgetting that large codebases can vastly exceed the standard 1mil context limit, and it WILL miss/make up details to fill it's gaps, and you will just trust it. Lol Businesses want to know that they are buying something reliable, and will work for them even in the worst of situations. It is true they do not care the language, or framework something is built in, so long as it works and is reliable. But that means YOU, the person "making" the product, need to know these things, to actually do that. As someone who has been programming since 2013, and professionally since 2017, it is laughable to watch the eyes light up on some sucker who just "built" something by prompting it into existence with Claude/ChatGPT. Then watching that light fade when you start asking them how it even works. My most favorite real world example was a local tattoo artist who was so happy to show me this "automatic stencil generator" he "made" in ChatGPT. He would put a photo in, and it would spit out an arguably decent stencil. He was convinced he "made" something amazing. I asked him, "So how does it work?" Crickets. The, "uhh... uhhhh..." then tried to pull up ChatGPT to ask. Paused him, and asked HIM to tell me. Admitted he didn't know, so I humored him. I guaranteed him, it was just a small wrapper that uses OpenAI's AI image generator at the core, so no new technology was built. After his frustrations and doubt with me, letting him finally prompt his ChatGPT, it told him it was effectively... doing exactly that and nothing more. Lmfao That little story to say, THAT is the problem. None of you even truly understand what you are building or HOW it works. So how could you ever guarantee the quality to anybody? Let alone scale it. This is the virtual equivalent of how houses use to be built by people with skill and care, and everybody wanted. Now houses are being built with literal sticks and drywall. They may LOOK like a nice home to live in, but give it time, we will see which one's still standing without issues in 20 years.
