I’ve been building apps and automation tools for myself for a couple of years, and recently I’ve ended up taking on most of the AI and automation work at my company. We’re heavily Microsoft 365 based, so I was constantly juggling Power Automate, Copilot, random text files, PowerPoints and Teams notes just to understand how different departments actually worked. It got messy fast. So I built a little tool for myself in Python called Siilo. It’s basically a workspace for planning and documenting automations before you build them. You can map out the process, define the connectors and actions being used, check things like premium licensing, DLP and run-as identity, then turn everything into a proper build spec. It started with Power Automate in mind, but I’ve also added support for external tools and connectors like Zapier, Slack and plenty of others, so it’s not limited to Microsoft products. It can also import existing Power Automate flows and turn them into readable process maps, which has been really useful for undocumented flows or taking over someone else’s automation. I’ve now put it online and would genuinely love some feedback or criticism from people who work with automation.
