Original Summary
TL;DR: Gonka is an open-source network where anyone with serious GPUs can serve open-weight LLMs, and developers call them through an OpenAI-compatible API. I'd love feedback on how we handle trust. Disclosure: I'm a contributor, so I'm biased. The idea Instead of one company owning the data centre, independent GPU owners serve the models. A blockchain keeps track of who did which work. Developers just see a normal API. The hard part: trust A host could quietly run a smaller model or a cheaper quantisation and keep the difference. Re-checking every request would double the cost, so the design stacks three defences: Spot checks. A random 1–10% of tasks is re-run by other hosts, and no host knows which ones. Reputation. Hosts that pass get checked less. Hosts that fail get checked more and lose rewards. Open weights. Anyone can compare the output with the public model. What works today DeepSeek V4-Flash: 380K–400K context GLM-5.3-Flash: 390K–400K context MiniMax M2.7: 180K–200K context It's a drop-in for any OpenAI SDK: change the base URL. Keys come from community brokers that take USD, crypto or credits, so you never touch a wallet. Where I'd love your feedback Would spot-checking at that rate make you trust a provider, or is it only a deterrent? What would stop you from pointing a side project at an endpoint like this?
