A lot of AI support conversations seem to focus on containment: did the AI resolve it without a human? I think the more useful question is what happens when it does not resolve it. If a customer gets handed to a person after five or ten minutes, I’d want the human to see more than a transcript. The handoff should probably include: - what the customer was trying to do - what the AI already asked - what was verified - what failed or was unclear - whether anything was promised - what decision the human needs to make next Otherwise the customer still has to repeat themselves and the AI just created a longer support path. For teams using AI in support, what do you expect the human agent to receive during a handoff? A short summary, the full transcript, structured fields, or something else?
