​ Hey everyone, I’m the creator of Summurizer, a free project I’ve been building with help from ChatGPT and Claude. It records D&D sessions through Discord, creates a transcript, and helps organise campaign notes on a website for your group. I wanted to share the approach I’m taking to reviewing the AI’s output. D&D has some awkward problems for transcription and summarisation: unusual character names, multiple nicknames for the same person, and conversations that mix actual events with jokes and plans. My approach is to: - Keep the original transcript so there’s a source to check. - Review character and location names separately from ordinary spelling corrections. - Have people check the extracted names and facts before the campaign notes get updated. For example, “we should give Billy 50 gold” is a suggestion. It shouldn’t become a confirmed payment in the campaign’s records. That distinction matters when later summaries rely on earlier notes. It’s still a work in progress, and I’m interested in how other people approach this.
