Original Summary

What we built: Mondow , a creative storytelling app for kids ~7–12. The child invents their own characters and tells or writes the story, and the AI only asks guiding questions (who is it about? where does it happen? what goes wrong?). It never writes the story for them. Their story becomes an illustrated book they keep, and the characters they invent come back in the next story, so they slowly build a world of their own. The hard design constraint is the product: we want to keep it creation-focused and avoid dopamine-inducing features — no open-ended chat, no feed, no ads. We're two Stanford co-founders (education + engineering). It's a free soft beta, and we only have spots for 100 founding families: https://mondow.world/?utm_source=pr3091 Feedback I'd love: What would make you trust an AI product near your kid? Where does the landing page lose you? Best of all: if you have a kid around 7–12, actually try it with them and tell me where it delights and where it breaks. Signup is free, and I'll personally read every piece of feedback (reply here or DM me). P.S. We're also saving a few spots in our kid "product leader" group: kids who try what we build and tell us what's working every couple of weeks. Their feedback has already reshaped the whole current version. If your kid would enjoy being one of them, comment or DM me. https://reddit.com/link/1wi8sy0/video/n7br9jsxzxph1/player submitted by /u/zarij92 [link] [comments]
