Original Summary
I've been following this subreddit and similar ones for a while now, and I keep seeing posts from people who built some kind of app or SaaS, can't get users, and are asking what they should do. And almost every time, people start looking for the problem somewhere in marketing, ads, SEO, etc. So let me throw out a different perspective: What if people simply don't want your product? For an app or SaaS to be successful, I think it ultimately needs to do one of two things: - help the customer make more money - help the customer save money Pretty much everything else can be traced back to one of those two things. Even saving the customer time eventually leads to either making more money or saving money. If your product doesn't do either of these things, I don't think it can be truly successful in the long run. It might get some traction or even have a nice peak, but eventually people will stop using it and it'll slowly die off. So when you're putting a ton of effort into building something, I think it's worth asking yourself: At the end of the day, does this actually make or save my customer's money? What do you think? P.S. I mean this mainly for business tools, not games, entertainment, etc. submitted by /u/Ondr4NDev [link] [comments]
