Original Summary
Made an app to actually understand my baby's weird mood swings 😅 Anyone else feel like their baby randomly flips between "angel who only naps and smiles" and "tiny tornado who screams at everything" and you have NO idea why? Turns out it's pretty normal, babies go through predictable "stormy" and "calm" periods as their brains develop, week by week. So I built an app that maps this out against your baby's actual age, so when week 4 hits and things get moody, you're not panicking, you just go "ah yes, this checks out." What it does: • Weekly development tracker - shows you what's typically going on in your baby's head/body that week, plus a color-coded mood forecast (calm period → peak moodiness → back to calm) • Teeth tracker - tap off each tooth as it comes in, see what's "typical" timing-wise so you're not googling at 2am • Milestone checklists - coos, first smile, holding their head up, etc, all logged with dates so you can actually remember when stuff happened • Funny badges 🏅 - because parenting deserves some gamification. Got ones like "Sleep Thief," "Master of Disguise" (for filling the diaper right after a clean one, we've all been there), "Official Citizen," etc. And yeah, you can slap your baby's photo right on their badge when they earn it, so it turns into this cute little trophy instead of just a checkbox. My kid's rocking "Master of Disguise" with the proudest little face right now. Basically trying to make the "wait why is my baby like this today" moments feel a little less chaotic. submitted by /u/LankyCoconut4309 [link] [comments]
