I kept opening Instagram without deciding to, so I built the app that doesn't negotiate: your feeds start every day locked, and they open when your phone's camera counts your push-ups, sit-ups or burpees. Pose detection runs on the phone. No video leaves it, no account. Things that took longer than the code: - Apple rejected it 3 times. One of them because the camera permission prompt was in Spanish while the app declared English. Two strings. - Google Play wanted 12 testers for 14 days before letting a personal account publish. - The pose model plus its runtime are about 20 MB, so it's hand-written JS with no framework and it runs offline.
