Original Summary
$7,038.62 MRR. Screenshot attached. But the embarrassing part is in the title. A year is a long time to work on something people can comfortably live without. You can get a lot done in a year. Build features. Redesign the landing page. Rewrite the headline until you’ve somehow made it worse. All very productive activities if the goal is to avoid asking why nobody’s buying. Getting customers is uncomfortable. There’s no compiler telling you what’s wrong. Just silence. And look at what “go find customers” actually involves: Figure out who might buy. Find the right person. Find their email. Work out what to say. Set up the sending. Repeat. That’s an entire job hiding inside one piece of startup advice. That frustration became the focus of Maila. You put in your website. It works out potential buyer audiences, finds relevant people with verified work emails, and writes and sends personalised outreach through managed sending accounts. You handle the replies. There’s still a business to run. Your offer still has to be something people want. Software can’t rescue that for you. But getting an outreach campaign going shouldn’t require assembling five tools and developing a minor obsession with email infrastructure. Now it’s at $7K MRR. I’m sharing the number because I spent a long time building toward a moment like this. I’m sharing the first part because the screenshot leaves it out. If you’re in that stage where you keep shipping and nothing seems to move, I don’t have a ten-step framework for you. Just a question I wish I’d taken seriously sooner: What happened in your customer’s day that would make them go looking for your product? “Because it has good features” is a painfully weak answer.
