I got tired of handing my bank data to budgeting SaaS, so I built my own YNAB-style tracker and open-sourced it (MIT). What it does: zero-based Plan with buckets/targets/auto-assign, EU bank sync, ledger + CSV import, credit/loans/card statements, and an optional AI analyst that can only write with my approval. Hardest parts: plan double-counting invariants across cash/card/debt, and keeping docs truthful in two languages as behavior changes.
