Last month I decided to add $100,000 on Claude API credits and let people build apps on Masterboard AI for free. I wanted to see what would happen if the cost of AI experimentation essentially disappeared. So far about half of the apps built have been published for public use, most for free on the Masterboard marketplace, for a total of around a thousand apps. There's an app builder competition ending at the end of the month rewarding users by number of installs and ratings, which is likely the incentive to make them free. Users decide otherwise if they'd want to sell their app for a commission - or allow others to fork/remix their apps and get royalties. There are still credits left on the API still running the experiment, so there's an opportunity to play around with Fable 5
