Hi everyone, I was born in the ’80s, and Where’s Wally? (Where’s Waldo? in the US) was a big part of my childhood. I still remember sitting in bookstores, going through those crowded pages and trying to find him. Such a simple idea, but those are memories that have stayed with me for decades. Then I came across Where is Mr. Kim? by cooperai here on r/SideProject , and I was honestly blown away. Seeing that little village brought the feeling right back. Huge respect to its creator: your project was the direct inspiration that made me want to try building something myself. Please check out the original if you haven’t already. The Where’s Wally? animated series just marked its 35th anniversary on September 14, so I wanted to celebrate with a small tribute of my own. I made Where’s Wallpet? , a seek-and-find game with cats and dogs. It has 10 city maps from around the world and nearly 250 different animals. You pick a pet, zoom into the streets, and try to spot it among the crowd. Hopefully, there’s a little of that familiar satisfaction when you finally find the one you’ve been looking for.
