Original Summary

I use an MX Master 4 on Linux and wanted its extra features to work there, so I started building a native Linux app with an interface inspired by Options+. So far, I have device discovery, battery information, DPI controls, wheel-mode settings, hardware button remapping, and haptic feedback controls. I’ve tested these on my own mouse over a Bolt receiver, including a haptic intensity comparison where the difference was clearly noticeable. The project uses direct HID++ communication. The research includes examining the official macOS app, comparing native command builders, and recording Linux device responses. The UI is native GTK. There’s also an experimental GNOME 50 Actions Ring extension; its rendering and shortcut delivery have been tested in an isolated desktop, but real-session acceptance is still pending. This is an early development build, not a complete replacement. Profiles, Flow, macros, and most keyboard customization are unfinished. There’s no packaged release yet. Logitech artwork, fonts, binaries, and private device captures are excluded from the public repo, so a fresh checkout uses fallback visuals. Code and research notes: https://github.com/enriquemorenotent/logioptions-linux I’m sharing it to find people interested in this problem and hear which missing Linux features matter most to them. It’s an independent project, not affiliated with Logitech. submitted by /u/enmotent [link] [comments]
