To be more specific, it sends MIDI notes to whatever synthesizer or instrument you have connected. There are a bunch of features to make it more musical, rather than just random blips and bloops. I started working on it a couple of years ago with a quick prototype in Unity, then eventually decided to rebuild it in JUCE to make it a proper VST plugin that can be used in a DAW.
