Original Summary

This started because a restaurant I was helping set up on Shopify was taking table bookings through a Google Form and copying them into a notebook. Shopify handles gift cards and online orders fine, but table reservations were not covered by anything that actually fit them. So I built Reservics: https://www.apselo.com/reservics/ What it does: a booking widget that drops into the Shopify theme, a live dashboard, email confirmations with one tap cancel, deposits through Shopify Checkout, a floor plan view, a walk in waitlist, and POS check in so whoever is on the door can tick guests off. Five months of nights and weekends. The three things that ate most of that time were timezone and slot collision logic (my first production bug was a double booking on a Friday night, the worst possible night for it), Shopify's embedded app setup with App Bridge and session tokens, which took about a month on its own, and rebuilding the dashboard twice because my first version was designed for a developer instead of a manager holding a phone during dinner rush. Now at 42 active users. Free plan is real and permanent, paid starts at $9.99 a month. Two things I would genuinely like feedback on. First, whether the landing page makes it clear within five seconds what this is, because I have stared at it too long to judge. Second, how you would get free users to look at the paid tier without being annoying about it. submitted by /u/HedgehogOk8873 [link] [comments]
