Original Summary
Hey everyone! I’m an indie developer, and for the past 6+ years I’ve been building Scribble Calendar & Planner , a calendar and planner designed for people who prefer writing with a stylus over typing everything into a digital calendar. The original idea was simple: I wanted the flexibility of a paper planner, but without having to maintain a completely separate copy of my schedule. So I built an app where you can write directly on daily, weekly and monthly calendar pages, while seeing your actual Google Calendar and Outlook events. Over time, it has grown to include a time-boxing planner, notes, and a mood and health tracker. The goal is to make it feel less like filling out a database and more like having a canvas for your life. The Android version has been around for years, mainly for tablet users with an S Pen or another compatible stylus. Recently, I finally released the iPad version, with Apple Pencil support. Getting it onto iOS was a project of its own. I use Kotlin Multiplatform and Compose, so I’ve been working on sharing the core of the app across Android, iOS and even a macOS desktop version. It’s been an interesting journey as a solo developer. Now I’m trying to figure out what matters most to people discovering the app for the first time. I’d love some honest feedback: Does the handwritten calendar concept make sense immediately from the screenshots? What would you want to see in the first few screenshots to understand why this is different from a PDF planner in Goodnotes? If you use a tablet for planning, what’s the biggest thing your current app is missing? I’m the developer, so obviously I’m close to the project — that’s exactly why I’d appreciate fresh eyes!
